Delete your dheelearn.com account
You can delete your dheelearn.com account and your child's learning data at any time. You have two options, and both are processed by the same team.
Option 1 · In the app
Fastest — from the Parent app
- Open Dhee Learning app and switch to parent mode, navigate to Settings.
- Enter your Parent PIN.
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
- Confirm. Your account and child profile are queued for deletion immediately.
Option 2 · By email
If you no longer have the app installed
Write to our privacy team from the phone number or email address registered on the account, so we can verify you.
Email saurabh@dheelearn.comSubject: "Delete my dheelearn.com account". We acknowledge within 24 hours and complete within 30 days.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, we remove — from production systems within 30 days, and from backups on the next rotation (within a further 35 days):
- Your parent account: phone number, name, email, login history.
- Your child's profile: first name, class, board, avatar, preferences.
- All learning data: mastery, progress, streaks, badges, and the Cognitive Portrait.
- Session transcripts and revision summaries.
- Any session photos still on our servers (these are already deleted within 24 hours of upload as a routine matter).
- Device tokens, push notification preferences, and in-app settings.
What we are legally required to retain
A small set of data must be kept for legal and tax reasons even after account deletion. This is held in a restricted-access archive, separated from your personal profile:
- Subscription and GST/tax records — retained for 8 years from the financial year of the transaction, as required by the CGST Act, 2017 (Section 36).
- Consent records — retained for 3 years after account closure, as evidence of lawful processing under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
- Anonymised analytics — events that have already been stripped of any identifiers may be retained indefinitely. These cannot be linked back to you or your child.

A note on active subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription billed through Google Play or the App Store. To stop future billing, cancel the subscription in your Play Store or App Store account. We can help if you're unsure — email support@dheeapp.com.
Changed your mind?
If you request deletion and then change your mind, email saurabh@dheelearn.com within 7 days. After 7 days, deletion is irreversible and you will need to sign up again as a new account.
Not satisfied with how we handled your request? Escalate to our Grievance Officer at saurabh@dheelearn.com — acknowledgement within 24 hours, resolution within 15 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India under the DPDP Act, 2023.
