Railway network
An AI scheduling trains is like one signal operator in a giant railway network. The signal operator matters, but the trains, tracks, ticketing staff, passengers, and Railway Board rules are all part of the same system — change any one of them and the operator's job changes completely.
Bazaar / market
Think of an AI pricing engine as the shopkeeper's calculator in a busy bazaar. The calculator gives a number, but the shopkeeper, the supplier's wholesale price, the local mela season, and customers haggling all shape what price actually gets charged.

Stage 1 — Surface
A maps app's arrival-time predictor keeps saying 6 minutes for your street when it really takes 20. Is the AI model doing this alone, or is a bigger system behind it?
Rote answer
"The AI uses data to predict the arrival time."
Understood
"The arrival-time predictor is only one part. Around it sit the live-traffic feed, other drivers on the same routes, road closures, and rider ratings. If the traffic feed is stale, a perfect model still gives a wrong arrival time — the system feeds it."
Stage 2 — Reasoning
The same arrival-time predictor gives great times in a big metro but terrible ones in your small town, and the code never changed. What in the SYSTEM — not the model — would you investigate?
Follow-up Dhee may use: Then the app suggests one fast shortcut to everyone, and that shortcut jams. Why does the quick arrival time it promised turn wrong?
Stage 3 — Application
Pick one AI you use daily — a maps app, a cricket-score predictor, or a music app. Name three non-AI parts of the system it lives inside that could feed it wrong inputs.
Misconception Dhee watches for: Child lists only technical parts (servers, internet) and misses human actors, data feeds, and real-world rules as parts of the system.
